Introduction
At Ivy Reign Academy, we believe that positive behaviour creates a positive environment.
We expect every member of our community — staff, students, and visitors — to uphold our values of respect, responsibility, and resilience.
Our Code of Conduct sets out clear expectations to ensure that everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
We encourage behaviour that reflects professionalism, kindness, and pride in being part of the Ivy Reign Academy community.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:

Promote a calm, respectful, and productive learning environment.

Establish clear standards of behaviour for all.

Encourage self-discipline, responsibility, and positive relationships.

Provide consistent responses to inappropriate conduct.
Scope
This policy applies to:

All staff, students, and visitors engaging in Ivy Reign Academy activities — both on and off site.

All learning spaces, salon environments, online learning, and events.
Expected Standards of Behaviour
For Students:

Treat staff, peers, and property with respect.

Arrive on time, prepared to learn, and participate positively.
-
Follow health and safety guidance at all times.
-
Use kind, inclusive, and professional language.
-
Take responsibility for personal actions and growth.
For Staff and Volunteers:

Act as positive role models, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

Maintain appropriate boundaries with learners.
-
Communicate clearly and respectfully.
-
Support students in developing confidence, discipline, and emotional maturity.
Prohibited Behaviour
The following behaviours are not tolerated within Ivy Reign Academy:

Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.

Physical or verbal abuse.

Damage to property or theft.
-
Substance misuse.
-
Refusal to follow safety instructions or staff guidance.
Any breaches of this policy will be addressed promptly and proportionately, following restorative and educational approaches wherever possible.
Rewards & Positive Reinforcement
We celebrate positive behaviour through:

Verbal praise and recognition.

Certificates, awards, or social media shoutouts.
-
Opportunities for additional responsibility or leadership roles.
-
Positive communication with parents, carers, or partner schools.
Consequences & Support
Where behaviour does not meet expectations, we will:

Discuss the issue with the student privately.

Reflect together on what went wrong and how to make it right.

Set clear expectations for improvement.

In serious or repeated cases, involve parents, schools, or other agencies.
We focus on education over punishment, aiming to support young people to make better choices and build life skills.
Monitoring & Review
The Director monitors behavioural trends and reviews the policy annually or following significant incidents.
Feedback from staff and students is welcomed to ensure our behaviour approach remains fair, inclusive, and effective.
