This policy applies to:

It covers recruitment, teaching, conduct, assessment, and progression within the academy.

Discrimination or harassment in any form will not be tolerated. All incidents are taken seriously and dealt with according to our Behaviour & Code of Conduct Policy.
Responsibilities
Director (Charlotte Graves):

Ensures policies and practices reflect current equality legislation (Equality Act 2010).

Oversees training and ensures inclusive practices are followed by all staff.

Monitors compliance and investigates any breaches.
Staff & Volunteers:

Treat everyone with fairness, dignity, and respect.

Challenge discriminatory behaviour or language.
-
Provide equal support and encouragement to all learners.
Students:

Respect others’ rights and differences.
-
Report any concerns regarding discrimination or exclusion to staff.
Inclusive Practice

Materials, activities, and teaching methods reflect diverse perspectives.

Adjustments are made to accommodate disabilities or learning differences.

Support is offered for those with additional educational or emotional needs.

Religious, cultural, and personal identities are recognised and respected.
Monitoring & Review
The Director will:

Monitor participation and achievement data to identify inequalities.

Collect feedback from students and staff.
-
Review the policy annually or when significant changes occur.
Progress and outcomes will be shared with staff and stakeholders to promote transparency.
